"Donetsk Plant "Prodmash" produces dies for pellet machines and rollers for them.

The proposed dies with the diameters of pressing holes 3.2 mm, 4.7 mm, 7.7 mm, 9.7 mm, 12.7 mm, 19.0 mm are included into the complete set of the pellet machine to granulate the mixed fodder, made of grass meal, green forage, wastes of bakeries. The final product is used as fodder for fishes, poultry, pigs, cattle.

Preparation of the granulated animal feed allows:

• to reduce losses of nutrients and carotin during storage;
• to reduce losses of fodder during transportation, storage and distribution;
• to improve preparation of fodder for rearing, as due to higher fodder density its consumption by animals increases and it is assimilated better.

The plant manufactures dies for any pellet machines of home and foreign make.

The dies are manufactured of high-strength alloyed steels, that is why their life is much higher.

At present almost all large animal feed plants of CIS and Baltic states use our dies.

The roller (pressing roll), as the die itself, are included into the complete set of the pellet machine for production of granulated grass, mineral and fish mixed fodder.

The proposed roller with external slots or uniform cylinder recesses rotates around eccentric axis on two roller bearings.

It is designed to pull the pressed meal, supplied to the chamber of pellet machine, between the rotating die and pressing rolls and to press it into the radial bores of the die with formation of granules under the effect of high pressure.

The rollers are manufactured with the external diameters of 180, 190, 220 and 310 mm.

We propose rollers with corrugated side surface and modernized rollers, where corrugation is replaced with holes, thereby increasing their life more than twice. The improved rollers were tested in Donetsk mill plant and were highly appreciated by the specialists.

Design and production process for new dies take into account the present state of animal formula feed production in CIS countries.

The dies offer the following advantages as compared to those produced earlier:

• billets for dies are subjected to ultrasonic control and metal is checked electronically which excludes low quality billets in further working stages;
• die wall thickness was improved, the pressing holes were distributed more rationally. In so doing their length remained the same. Die strength was increased considerably. A guaranty is ensured. Certain reduction of the new die capacity (by 5-7%) does not influence considerably the die consumer properties nowadays when formula feed production decreased many times.

It is not of the least importance that new die prices are lower than prices of the dies produced serially before.
